Foundation A sponsored the filming of one of the most recognized Russian films of 2006 which was to become an award-winning breakthrough in many European festivals. "Euphoria" is a Russian drama film directed by filmmaker Ivan Vyrypayev, who has attracted considerable local and international acclaim for his plays (including "Oxygen" delivered in more than 20 countries). The drama takes place in an amazingly beautiful location, on the bank of the wide river Don, in a remote, nearly destroyed village, surrounded only by steppe for hundreds of miles. Unexpected passionate love between a young man and a married woman literally destroys the lives of not only the main characters, but also their loved ones.

The film received positive reviews from Russian and foreign critics alike. In 2006 "Euphoria" won the Little Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival, the Grand Prix at the Warsaw International Film Festival and the Kinotavr Festival Special Prize of the Jury.
