Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration graduate, he played an important role in developing Russian stock market infrastructure and normative rules.
In 1995-2002 he worked as the Director of Corporate Finance in United Financial Group, where he implemented several large fundraising projects, strategic consulting as well as corporate mergers and acquisitions in Russia and Eastern Europe.
In 1997-2006 Abugov was an advisor to TAIF Group and in 1999 advisor to RAO UES of Russia. In 2003-2006, he was a head of Corporate Finance in OJSC Rosbank.
In August 2006, he was appointed First Vice President, Head of Strategy in Sistema PJSFC.
Since 2008, Abugov has been the Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors in the companies - leaders of telecom, healthcare, oil, finance and media industries.
Anton Abugov continued serving as the First Vice President of Sistema until July 2015 when he resigned his position to focus on his own projects. The most important of them is Foundation A which is the main accomplishment of Anton’s philanthropic aspirations and community projects.
