Boris Koshelokhov


(born 1942) is a Russian artist, who works with painting, graphics and objects. Born in Zlatoust, he moved to Leningrad in 1962, working at odd jobs for over a decade. He took up painting in 1976. In 1977 he founded the Chronicle art group. In 1979 he joined the Society for Experimental Visual Art. His works, exhibited at dozens of group shows, exerted a strong influence over the whole generation of artists, including most members of the New Artists group. So far, his solo exhibitions have taken place in such cities as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, Hamburg and others.
