(born 1966). His hometown is Novorossiysk. Since 1982 has lived and worked in St. Petersburg. From 1983 till 1989 his works were part of a number of the New Artists group’s exhibitions. He occasionally performed with Sergei Kuryokhin’s Popular Mechanics band. In 1987, along with sculptor Franz Rotwald, he founded the School of Art Engineers group. In the late 1980s, he began working with film and cartoon animation. Savchenkov’s works are part of numerous private and museum collections, including the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg and the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.
